Aruzhan Magzomova, graduated from Almaty Management University. Aruzhan comes from the city of Uralsk. At the University, she studied marketing. Aruzhan tries to lead a healthy lifestyle and enjoys poetry. Student life was remembered by her bright weekdays and the useful experience that she gained during a trip on an exchange program in Japan.

Darkhan Kalibekov, a graduate of Suleyman Demirel University, majoring in finance. Darkhan was born and raised in the city of Semey, graduated from the Kazakh-Turkish Lyceum, speaks Kazakh, Russian, English and Turkish. Among the sports hobbies of Darkhan is judo. While studying at the University, he was an active volunteer, helping children from the orphanage to overcome barriers to communication and improve academic performance.

Madina Tokhtakhmetova, received a bachelor’s degree from Suleiman Demirel University with a degree in finance. Madina is from Almaty. Madina is a responsible and purposeful girl and always brings the job she has started to the end. She is also an active volunteer of the Foundation and the University.

Maria Terekhova, received a diploma from the Medical and Dental College of Professor Ruzuddinov with a degree in “dental technician”. During the selection in 2016, Maria subdued the Foundation staff with her confidence and energy. The rock climbing she was fond of became an integral part of her life – today Maria is a master of sports in rock climbing, she has more than twenty diplomas for 1,2,3 places at the Central Asian Championship and the Youth Cup of Kazakhstan in the disciplines “bouldering”, “difficulty ”,“ All-around ”. Represented Kazakhstan in the national team and the national youth team at the Asian, Central Asian, World Championships, European Climbing Youth Cup in 2013-2015. in Norway, Italy, Austria, Malaysia, Indonesia, Iran.

Asel Seytbek graduated from Turan College with a degree in law. In June 2017, she was selected for a grant by the Yerzhan Tatishev Foundation, while in the United States under the FLEX program. During the selection, she was distinguished by her determination and maturity, and during her studies she always showed excellent results. Asel plans to continue training in the chosen field.

Zhanerke Zhumagulova, a graduate of the Almaty Kazakh-Turkish humanitarian and technological college, specializing in computer technology and software. In 2015, Zhanerke passed a competitive selection and became a scholarship holder of the Fund. Zhanerke is fond of needlework, likes to play volleyball and basketball. Zhanerke, unfortunately, could not join our holiday, as she is undergoing treatment.

By tradition, the guests took a walk into the past, watching a video with the personnel of the competitive selection of 2015, 2016, as well as volunteer projects in which the guys participated during their studies at universities. Yerkin Nureldaemovich Tatishev, Chairman of the Fund’s Board of Trustees, and public figure, director of the Dom charity foundation and Mercy society Aruzhan Sain presented souvenirs to graduates and said parting words. In her congratulatory speech, Aruzhan Sain spoke about the obstacles that a person has to face on the way to his dream and wished the guys great enthusiasm, determination and patience. Erkin Nureldaemovich wished him success in his professional activities and shared his plans to improve approaches to the implementation of the Foundation’s educational programs, in particular, BesTіrek, a program for educating young entrepreneurs. On behalf of the Fund’s key partner, Almaty University Management, the Director of the Center for Entrepreneurship and Innovation Development Ksenia Yuzhaninova-Karadenizli spoke. Among the honored guests of the event were Chairman of the Supervisory Board of KazPetrolGroup LLP Orazkhan Karsybekov, director of the corporate development department of KIMEP University Raushan Kanaeva, director of the department for work with graduates of Suleyman Demirel University Ramiz Suleymanovich Akhmetov, well-known cultural expert, translator, scriptwriter Zira Naurzbayeva Alp Tisham Alishaishaeva Alish Tishevaeva Alishbaishbaeva Alish and college representatives.

Graduates presented a short film about student everyday life to their guests and expressed deep gratitude for the opportunities that the Fund provided them. On behalf of the parents acted mother Asel Seytbek. The evening was decorated with performances by graduates and scholars: Aruzhan Magzomova with the poem “Arman” by M. Shakhanov, and Aigerim Karieva with the song “Otan ana” by B. Shukenov. At the end of the solemn part of the Ceremony, the President of the Foundation, Dana Zhenisovna Zharikova, after her speech, put a burning candle into the hall as a sign of the participation of those present in the values ​​of the Fund.

Representatives of partner universities and colleges, graduates of the Fund, parents of graduates of 2018 and friends of the Fund, all who have watched the children grow up for several years have come to wish them success and good luck. Guests of the Ceremony made a journey into the past and watched videos with shots from the 2014 and 2015 competitive selection. Then they were applicants and did not yet know that they would become scholarship holders, and later graduates of the Yerzhan Tatishev Foundation.

Among the honored guests of the Ceremony were Ultai apa and Almas Tatishev, mother and nephew of the late Yerzhan Tatishev. In her parting words to the graduates, Ultai apa spoke about the chosenness of each of them, the importance of professional growth and the need to use education as a springboard to conquer even greater peaks. A longtime friend of the Fund, Madina Karsakbaeva and one of the first graduates of the Fund, Nursultan Belkhodzhaev congratulated the children and presented them with souvenirs. Graduates expressed gratitude to the Fund for all-round support and incentive for development: high requirements for academic performance and volunteer work have raised awareness and responsibility for their lives in them, the ability to empathize and help those who need support. The guys thanked the university and colleges for their happy students and invaluable knowledge, which became the foundation of their personal and professional development. Words of gratitude from parents were also expressed by the father of Daria Amirtay, the first graduate who studied for a grant from the Foundation Alumni Club, Mominali Amirtaev.

The children delighted the guests with their creativity: the graduates showed a video of their own production about what their native Fund means for them, and the graduate of the current and last year’s scholar, Akerke Mazhitova and Temirlan Kudaibergen sang the songs “Zhanym, Kazak” and “Zhayau”. The closing speech was made by the President of the Foundation, Dana Zharikova, and launched a burning candle, a symbol of each of those present participating in the noble mission of the Foundation Yerzhan Tatishev.

Each of them, carrying out volunteer projects, learned to empathize and knows how to help in a difficult life situation.

Chairman of the Board of Trustees and Founder of the Fund, Yerkin Nureldaemovich Tatishev congratulated the graduates of 2017. Erkin Nureldaemovich wished graduates to achieve career heights, success and interesting beginnings. Speaking farewell to the new generation of graduates, Erkin nureldaemovich stressed the importance of critical thinking, the ability to analyze and spoke about his vision regarding the criteria for obtaining knowledge that would meet the requirements of today. The guys said words of gratitude to the native Fund and their universities, because for each time students can be called a school of life, when they crossed the threshold of youth, became responsible and now consciously build their future. Guests of the Ceremony and graduates themselves remembered events four years ago, watching the video with photos from the qualifying round, where they were only grant pretenders, and from the Ceremony of congratulation of competition’s finalists, when they became the part of Foundation’s community. Being the pretenders on Foundation’s grant, they have passed through the thorough selection and proved that they deserve the rank “the best of the best”. During each session they demonstrated high indicators of education progress, participated in social life of their universities, contributed to development of volunteer work and became an active part of the student youth. Every fellow of the Foundation receives the key to successful life – knowledge. Guys gave the start to the new tradition – as the sign of their appreciation to the Foundation for the opportunity to receive such a valuable resource, each of them presented their lovely book to the Foundation’s library.  

To wish the bright road and professional success the Chairman of the Board of Trustees and Founder of the Foundation, Erkin Tatishev, representatives of partner educational institutions: KIMEP grant manager, Alima Dostiyarova, Vice-rector on academic issues of AlmaU, Nurzhamal Duisenkulova and Coordinator on external connections of SDU, Enes Kurtai. Also among speakers were representatives of Kusto Group, Talgat Turumbayev, Elinvest Group, Gulbany Akbalayeva, “Shyrak” women Association, Zakhira Begaliyeva.

The event, which was held in the hospitable walls of the partner university of the Fund, Almaty Management University, brought together the closest friends and partners who have supported us for several years. The ceremony was opened by the Chairman of the Population Council and the Founder of the Fund, Erkin Tatishev, congratulating everyone on this important event for the Fund and wishing our children starting a new and interesting stage in life,not to lose their enthusiasm and thirst for knowledge, move forward and improve their knowledge and skills. The guests made an excursion into the past by watching videos in which footage from the Competitive Selection and the 2011 Scholarship Awards Ceremony were captured, as well as shots of student life and interesting volunteer projects in which our graduates participated. Among the guests were long-standing partners and friends of the Fund: Kuat Dombay, Kurmangazy Talzhanov, Marat Aitmagambetov, Zakhira Begalieva, as well as representatives of partner universities: Enes Kurtay Chig, Balzhan Suzhikova, Asylbek Kozhakhmetov, Nurzhamal Duysenkulova. In their speeches, they especially noted the contribution that our Foundation makes to the education of youth and the development of education. The only bachelor’s graduate this year was Laura Kopbaeva. She received an honors degree in Finance and was named the best student of Almaty Management University. We were especially pleased with the guys, who completed their studies at colleges this year under the Educational Grants Program for young people with disabilities. Zhasulan Zhumabek from Kentau, SKO, graduated from the Almaty Medical College with a degree in medical assistant and entered the International Kazakh-Turkish University named after H.A. Yasaui at the Faculty of Medicine. Asiya Zholboldieva received a diploma from the Kazakh-Turkish humanitarian and technological college in the specialty “Translation Studies” and plans to try her hand at the chosen profession. Argyn Kenbabin mastered the intricacies of the legal profession at Balkhash Multidisciplinary College and currently works in the Akimat of Balkhash. Argyn moved in a wheelchair and, due to the lack of lifting devices on trains, was unable to join the holiday, but expressed his great gratitude to the Fund through a video message that the graduates prepared and presented to the guests.

In addition to training professional personals to economics and finance, one of the Fund’s strategic priorities is the cultivation of socially responsible leaders. The Fund is trying to spread the idea of ​​succession of generations among graduates, and the first grant in the history of the Fund from graduates of the Fund has become a striking example and implementation of this idea. Each graduate, looking back, realizes the importance of receiving support at the right and decisive moment in life. Two years ago, graduates who had already gained financial independence decided to make monthly charitable donations. Konstantin Kravchenko, a 2012 graduate of the Fund, was a member of the Contest Committee and participated in the selection of scholarship holders of 2015 and awarded a grant to the Fund Alumni Club Daria Amirtay (Taraz). Kostya said that he was glad to see the selection process from the inside and once again became convinced of its honesty and transparency. He also spoke about his path as a scholarship holder, about successes and failures, and wished the new scholarship holders great heights. In addition to Daria, the Foundation’s scholarship holders were: Aruzhan Magzomova (Uralsk), Bauyrzhan Uzakov (Taraz) and Darkhan Kalibekov (Ayagoz), Zhumagulova Zhanerke (Almaty). Graduates and scholarship holders of the Fund were awarded with souvenirs.

The President of the Foundation, Dana Zharikova, in her speech expressed appreciation for the fruitful cooperation of the Fund’s long-standing partners – Almaty Management University and KIMEP University, and handed in letters of thanks.
