On June 11-12, 2019, the second stage of selection for grants of the BesTіrek Program of the Yerzhan Tatishev Foundation was held. Competitors who meet the criteria of the first round and underwent a technical assessment were invited to participate in the second round, where they were to demonstrate the skills stated in the competition documents in practice. The second round was held according to the rules of the business game, where teams of contestants developed business concepts and presented them to the jury and observers. Developments were evaluated according to the criteria of relevance of the concept, originality of the idea itself, commercial feasibility and the presence of a social component. According to the results of the competition, the following contestants are recommended for a grant:

Batyrbekova Jayna, Nur-Sultan She graduated from school No. 36 of Nur-Sultan. Jayna is a very purposeful, efficient and active girl, not afraid of difficulties and confident in success. During the second round, she showed herself to be a good team player who knows how to hear members of her team and argues for her point of view.

Duysenhan Medet Almaty city. He was educated at MAB College with a degree in Accounting and Auditing. Medet is a proactive student with a wide range of interests and hobbies. He spends time developing his business skills, studying psychology and discovering creative inclinations. An important quality of a young man is the ability to connect all his knowledge and skills and transform them into practical skills. Medet created his small business, being a student and not having start-up capital, and now is sharing his experience with others. While working in a team, Medet was distinguished by creativity and a non-standard approach to developing a business idea, and also helped create a friendly atmosphere in the group.

Ismailov Kenzhebek, Saryagash city. He graduated from school number 99. Kenzhebek grew up with an understanding of how money is made and believes that entrepreneurship gives hope for a better life. He was a professional judo practitioner and was convinced that sport tempers character, accustoms discipline and helps to develop endurance, which is extremely important for a future businessman. He earned his first money when he was 12 years old. During the second round Kenzhebek distinguished himself with his knowledge of the history of Kazakhstan, his ability to work and his desire for victory.

Kenesalieva Ayazhan, the city of Taraz. She graduated from the Zhambyl Innovation College (KTL) in Taraz. Studying in college helped develop her hidden talents and qualities. As a student, Ayazhan founded a small business, and she has experience in attracting investments, so the BesTіrek program is a conscious choice. For two days of work in the second round, Ayazhan managed to show her skills such as critical thinking, the ability to make decisions independently and diplomacy.

Mutalkhan Rakhat, Taraz city. Rakhat is a graduate of the Zhambyl Innovation College (KTL), he mastered the profession of translator. During my second year studies I tried my hand at the entrepreneurial path – I opened a small candy store, rented a karaoke microphone. These small undertakings became good experiences and taught teamwork, profit sharing, and competitor analysis. In the second round, Rakhat showed himself as an enterprising team player, able to deeply study the task and solve it in an optimal way.

Sharip Daniya Petropavlovsk. Daniya was educated at the Lyceum School at the Peter and Paul Humanitarian College named after M. Zhumabaev. Victories strengthen her faith in achieving great goals, and defeats strengthen her ability to see opportunities. Daniya earned her first money when she was 14, working as a tutor for children’s choreography in a summer camp. This experience taught punctuality, social responsibility and management skills. During the contest, Daniya was distinguished by a sharp mind, the ability to quickly navigate in changing circumstances and rallied the team around the idea of ​​a startup.

On June 28, 2019, the competition commission summed up the results of the Get the Craft program. The competition took place in three stages: a technical assessment, an interview and an assessment of the financial situation of the applicants’ families. In the decisive stage of the competition for this program, interviews were attended by members of the Alumni Club of the Fund, Amina Abugaliev and Malik Usserov. Based on the selection results, three contestants received grant support from the Fund and one from the Alumni Club.

Allayarova Aykorkem, Almaty. She graduated from a special boarding school No. 4 for blind and visually impaired children named after N. Ostrovsky. Aykorkem is inspired by successful people, believes in the power of positive thinking and cultivates an active personality. The main positive feature of Aykorkem is optimism and the ability to see opportunities. She chose MAB College, specialty “management”. Her dream is to create a development center for the children of her native village, where they could learn leadership, learn foreign languages ​​and etiquette. Aykorkem was recommended for a grant from the Yerzhan Tatishev Foundation Alumni Club and her college education, including a monthly scholarship, will be covered by charitable donations from graduates.

Kanafin Damir, Almaty. Graduate of a special boarding school No. 2 for children with disorders of the musculoskeletal system of Almaty. Damir considers diligence and perseverance to the positive qualities of character and sometimes can not stop when starting any business. Damir wants to study at the Almaty College of Printing with a specialization in technician-technologist, since he believes that this profession will be in demand in connection with the transition of the Kazakh language to the Latin alphabet.

Pilipenko Maxim, Almaty. Maxim graduated  boarding school No. 9 for children with severe speech impairment. At school, Maxim was a diligent, neat, hardworking student. He reads a lot in his free time, especially foreign fiction. Maxim shows a keen interest in psychology, NLP and studies the influence of the subconscious. From childhood, Maxim was interested in computers and programs, so he chose the profession of “technician-programmer”, which he will be trained at the Innovative Technical College.

Riskilya Yani, Almaty. Graduate of a special boarding school No. 9 for children with severe speech impairment. The positive qualities of Yani are the desire to help people, to bring things to the end and a good sense of humor. Yani is an only child and wants to become the pride and support of her mother. He spends his free time with BMX, a special stunt bike. This hobby brings him a small income – he helps friends with repairs for a nominal fee. Yani chose the Innovative Technical College, where he will master the profession of “technician-programmer.”

The final decision on the award of grants will depend on the admission of the contestants to the University and their chosen colleges.
