The long and tortuous wait is finally over, and the finalists have been identified and letters sent to the contestants. The members of the jury have confirmed the list of winners of the contest “BesTirek” of 2020. They became: 

Akhmetova Alua (Almaty),  

Akhtayeva Dilnaz (Pavlodar),  

Bakayeva Dana (Almaty),

Gabdulina Nadezhda (Lisakovsk),

Zholdassova Nazerke (Kentau, Turkestan Region),

Kakeyev Asylbek (Almaty).

The winners received the financial support from the Foundation, and will study entrepreneurship in Almaty Management University. Furthermore, the Foundation covers the cost of living and travel to Almaty, as well as a monthly stipend for the duration of the study.

The selection process itself consisted of three parts. In the first round, applicants had to register on the site, fill in the questionnaire and attach to it documents relating to academic achievement, achievement in subject competitions, social activity and financial status. The runners-up to the second round made a self-presentation, worked as a team to solve business cases and performed creative tasks. Before the second round, the participants and the jury held an orientation session, where they were loaded in to the particularities of the online selection.

Under the conditions of the second round, the contestants placed on social media their videos, in which they tried to reveal their strengths and demonstrate their uniqueness. For the second assignment, participants were divided into small groups and put in a situation where they could find themselves as entrepreneurs. During the third assignment each contestant had to solve non-standard tasks. Any ideas demonstrating imaginative and strategic thinking, tactical skills and non-trivial problem-solving were welcomed.
