April 21, 2018, in Kentau, school-lyceum №16 is named after Yuri Gagarin events were held in honour of the birthday of Yerzhan Nureldaemovich Tatishev. Holding Memorial Day at the school where Yerzhan Tatishev studied, has become an annual tradition. Lyceum’ students participated in sports competitions, measured their strength in intellectual competitions, showed their creative skills and talents.

High school students participated in the military sports all-around, according to the results of which three prizes went to 7 “B”, 9 “A” and 7 “C” classes. No less interesting was the sports relay race “Me and my “the best” class teacher”, held among the fifth and sixth grades of the lyceum school. Each team fought for winning with their class teacher. According to the results of the competitions, the first places was win by the “Dynamite” (5 G) and “Extreme” (6 V) teams, the second places to “The Best of the Best teams” (5 A), “Cosmos” (5 B ”) And“ Impulse ”(6“ B ”) and third places – to the teams“ We are sportsmen ”(5“ V ”), “ Lightning ”(5“ D ”),“ Adrenaline ”(6“ A ”) and “ Arrow ”(6“ G ”).

In addition to sports training, the guys showed their knowledge and skills of competent discussion at the debate. Teams of  schools No. 22, Kentau Transformer College and lyceum schools No. 16 defended their point of view, asked questions and argued for and against the lessons that humanity is taught about the history and advisability of using nuclear and renewable energy. The heated debate ended with the victory of the CPC team and school-lyceum No. 16.

Students of junior and middle schools showed themselves actively in creative competitions: letters of creativity in the competition of crafts “Conquering the Universe” were awarded to students of the second and fourth grades, prizes for the best chalk drawing on asphalt “We draw the world” were awarded to teams 6 “A” , 6 “G” and 5 “A” classes. After summing up the results of the competition, the winners were awarded with certificates, the event ended with a festive concert. In support of the school, a multimedia projector was given from the Foundation.
