Press-release: Yerzhan Tatishev Foundation announces the opening of online registration for the competition of Scholarship Programs 2019

From February 1 to April 30, 2019, the Yerzhan Tatishev Foundation accepts applications for educational grants online. Now for this it is not necessary to spend time and money for sending the tender documentation. All you need to do is a few simple steps on the Foundation’s website www.ytf.kz and become a student for a study grant. Applications are accepted under the BesTіrek Program and the Get a Craft Program.

The goal of the BesTіrek program is to support the best students with leadership qualities and a desire for entrepreneurship. Graduates of schools, colleges and graduates of orphanages who wish to get an education in entrepreneurship at Almaty University of Management (formerly the International Academy of Business) and open their own business can apply for a grant.

The goal of the “Get a Craft!” Program is to support young people with disabilities, with an active lifestyle, the desire to overcome barriers, get a specialty and use acquired knowledge and skills in their work. Grants are awarded on a competitive basis to talented guys with high motivation. Young people with disabilities who have passed all stages of selection will be able to study at any college in Kazakhstan in their chosen specialty.

Programs have been implemented since 2007. Grants of the Foundation are awarded based on the results of a competition to identify the academic knowledge and abilities of the applicant, as well as his personal qualities. Only citizens of Kazakhstan can participate in the competition. The deadline for accepting applications for participation in the competition for both Programs is 17:00 hours (Astana time), April 30, 2019.

The uniqueness of the Programs is that the Foundation not only provides an opportunity to get an education, but also contributes to the comprehensive development and formation of professional skills of scholarship holders. On the basis of the Foundation there is a Fellowship Club, whose members carry out socially significant projects. Volunteers support orphans, veterans, the elderly and people with disabilities, participate in charity events and help NGOs. Carrying out social projects, they gain experience that they successfully apply in their future professional activities. Fellows participate in international programs bringing together active student youth around the world: AISEC, ENACTUS, and also study for exchange programs at universities in South Korea, Holland, Hungary, France, the USA, and Japan.

Over the twelve years of the Program’s existence, the Foundation has given 117 educational grants for higher and secondary special education. The partners of the program were such universities as KIMEP University, Almaty Management University, Suleiman Demirel University, University of International Business, International School of Economics at KBTU, Al Farabi Kazakh National University, K. Satpayev Kazakh National Technical University. In total, 529,455,491.77 tenge was spent on the Foundation’s educational grant programs.Today, graduates of the Foundation  joined the ranks of employees of leading domestic and international companies: Alsad Kazakhstan LLP, Samruk-Energy JSC, Kazpost JSC, Kaspi Bank, Kassa Nova Bank JSC, Procter & Gamble Kazakhstan, Coca-Cola Almaty LLP Bottlers ”, KPMG, Deloitte, AST Minerals Group, Mary Kay, Phillip Morris, Ernst & Young, PricewaterhouseCoopers, Procter & Gamble (Russia, Moscow), KGM Enerji (Turkey, Istanbul), KPMG (Great Britain, London).

In 2015, graduates of the Foundation awarded their first educational grant through their own charitable donations. The grant holder from the Yerzhan Tatishev Foundation Alumni Club was Daria Amirtay, who in 2018 received a bachelor’s degree in finance from Almaty Management University.
